I think that saying 2020 has not been what we expected would be a huge understatement. I vividly recall counting down the seconds to the New Year with optimism. We had started setting goals and plans for our 2020 haunting season. I was researching new stories and new routes. One of the great things about the upcoming year-Halloween will be on a Saturday this year, under a full moon. The plans for celebrating this year were going to be epic.
Once the shut downs started, my plans halted. Obviously, with the Coronavirus situation, many of our plans for live, in person tours are on hold. Large celebrations are not possible right now.
In response to these challenges, we have gotten creative! Through Zoom, we have been offering virtual ghost tours. We will be trying out different ways to host virtual events and will post information on Facebook and Instagram. We will also be updating this blog more often.
Our repertoire has been expanded to include a few other fun, creepy presentations. Additions include "The Life and Mysterious Death of Edgar Allan Poe", "The Story of the Matawan Maneater". There are several more in the works as well. If you have any thoughts on a topic you'd like to see us explore, drop us a line!
So far, 2020 has been a year of unprecedented events. But, the demands of our current "new normal" have inspired us to move out of our comfort zone and evolve. Although nothing will beat the energy of our in person tours, we hope that you join us for our virtual tours. We are still hoping that we will be touring in person by October.
In the meantime...stay healthy and safe! We hope to scare you soon!
